Who Are We?

The Liberia Citizens Development Initiative, Inc. (LCDI) is a non-profit organization founded on December 1, 2016, with a steadfast commitment to fostering positive change and sustainable development in Liberia. Laying its roots in the belief that empowered citizens are the cornerstone of a prosperous nation, LCDI operates with a vision of an inclusive Liberia where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to national development.

Our Genesis

The idea for LCDI emerged from a collective realization that the potential of Liberia’s citizens, particularly the youth, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and marginalized communities, needed focused attention and support. The organization was founded by a group of passionate individuals headed by its Chief Executive Officer Boakai L. Taliferro with diverse backgrounds in community development, entrepreneurship, education, and social advocacy.

I am one of the beneficiaries from LCDI programs. As a proud producer of Liquid Soap and Bleach in my community, I want to bless God for the LCDI family for this great opportunity. It is a blessing not only for me and my family, but for my community, too. I produce and sell my products in and out of my community.
